From safe drinking water supply to complex supply systems in industrial applications and extremely critical installations, for example in hospitals or hotels – Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel is the right choice for all sanitary projects with very high demands. With its fittings and extensive range of piping materials, the system is also suitable for transporting service water, compressed air, gases, chemicals and many other different media in addition to its use for safe and reliable drinking water installations.

Directives, regulations and standards reliably under control
Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel can be disinfected chemically and thermally if this is required by applicable directives and standards, or if the supply network is contaminated.
For hygiene reasons, all Geberit Mapress pressfittings are sealed with a protection plug, which is only removed once they are processed. The colour of the plug also indicates their application. In standard applications Mapress Stainless Steel is approved for operating temperatures of -30 °C to 100 °C and maximum pressures of 1.6 MPa (16 bar). The application and temperature ranges can also be extended with special seal rings, for example for solar applications.

The Geberit Stainless Steel fitting range covers conventional dimensions from 15 to 108 mm and features over 500 fittings for each application. A number of adapters ensure the very best connections between Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel and other Geberit supply systems.


The Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel alloy is optimally designed for the various applications. For example, it contains a high level of molybdenum that exceeds the specifications of valid European standards. It ensures stability and maximum corrosion protection. Special thermal and mechanical treatment of all fittings creates a homogeneous, high-quality material structure in the fitting, pipe and weld seams. This effective treatment ensures optimum formability and the necessary long-term tightness. Smooth surfaces ensure a perfect fit of the seal ring and optimum hygienic properties.

Pressing indicator

Fast visual check

The new pressing indicator on all Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel fittings can be simply removed manually after the correct pressing operation. It already indicates unpressed connections before the pressure test. The blue colour of the pressing indicator enables clear identification of the material. For clear identification, the Geberit logo and the dimensions are printed on the pressing indicator as a processing aid.

Protection plug

Protection against dust and dirt

All pressing sockets of Geberit metal fittings are equipped with a protection plug. It protects the supply network from dust and dirt and increases safety through perfect installation. The colour of the protection plug also identifies the application.

Welded pipe seam

Pipes with a homogeneous material structure

A special thermal treatment process ensures a homogeneous material structure, including weld seams without band edges. The high quality of the production process makes the Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel pipe one of the safest.

Mechanical strength

Wide range of applications

The coordinated components lend the Geberit Mapress system a very high level of strength. Operating pressures of 2.5 MPa (25 bar) and more can be achieved. Due to the high level of mechanical strength, a wide range of applications is possible which extends far beyond the usual domestic installations.

Shaping the seal ring

For permanent fixture and a high level of safety

During the pressing sequence, the seal ring is given a pre-defined shape by the pressing jaw of the Geberit Mapress pressing tools. During this process the ring absorbs additional energy for permanent and reliable tightness. Result: The Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel pressing system has been working for 40 years.

The seal ring provides the pressing indicator with additional safety. Due to its special contours, unpressed connections leak during the pressure test. This prevents any subsequent damage during operation.

Fitting weld seam

Thermally perfect weld seam execution

On the contact surface of the seal ring the clean weld seam contributes to ensuring the system's permanent tightness and to cutting susceptibility to corrosion. The weld seam has to meet Geberit's stringent quality demands. A special thermal treatment ensures a homogenous material structure and thereby an optimum pressing operation.

Material surface

Perfectly smooth

The extremely smooth surface is a prerequisite for added system safety and long-term tightness. The weld seams are smoothed by a mechanical finishing treatment for optimum flow behaviour and a perfectly positioned seal ring. The roughness values, which are well below the limits set out in standards, guarantee the tightness of the system.

The compact geometry of the fittings requires less space and therefore tighter fitting combinations are possible. Furthermore, Geberit offers numerous fittings that are coordinated with a wide range of applications.

Alloy

High material and system safety

The optimum composition of the alloy components results in a high degree of material and system safety. Our extensive works standard, which goes beyond the required standards, is the reason for this safety. The Geberit Mapress system uses a minimum molybdenum content of 2.3%.
